Sunday February 7th

Spent the day at the beach, in the morning at a charity event at Brighton beach where one event was the Marilyn race; lots of women dressed as Marilyn Monroe swimming round the pier.

There was also a sculpture competition with dozens of entries all displayed along the esplanade.

The man who plays Hunter in Home and Away was there alongside the newcomer to Summer Bay.

and even got him to take a selfie!

In the afternoon I walked along the beach from Brighton to Glenelg , taking some time for a spot of sunbathing and reading.

Today we came to Foul Bay, a strange name for such a stunning place. (So named after the nautical term). John and Chris have a holiday home here and it is absolutely amazing, remote, on the beach with stunning views fro a wide verandah which goes round a third of the house. There are only about twelve houses here and it's down a 17km dirt road.

On the way down the Yorke Peninsular we stopped at some lovely little country towns, with empty beaches and a very sleepy air!

Ardrossan

The "shack" as it is known is anything but-a beautiful round house made from wood, with all mod cons but still retaining the charm of a remote getaway. I shall fall asleep to the sounds of the sea and can't wait to wake up in the morning to the view of the beach and ocean.
