Friday 8th January

Relaxing day by the pool this morning then , after lunch,  went into the rainforest to a waterfall which reminded me so much of the Lambir National Park!

The teenagers were climbing up the rock face to jumps in, notices were there forbidding people to jumps from the top, it was all so reminiscent. Time for a read .....

On the way out we saw a large iguana in the creek. They told us it was only an iguana, though I wondered about a baby croc.... Having decided it was more restful at the camp site we returned in good time and Charles cooked a great meal on the barbecue IN THE LIGHT!!!

Saturday 9th January

Having extended our stay at Arlie Beach to four days from one, we reluctantly said goodbye this morning to a lovely place. Charles was able to do the park run and was very pleased to come third, then we cleared up the camp and hit the road again. Meandering through the foothills of the mountains on the edge of the national park we passed through several small settlements on the undulating road then came across Eton, where we stayed for lunch.A strange place in the middle of nowhere with a large and very modern church.

Then it was back to the Bruce Highway to Capricorn Caves where we found a wonderful camp site with all the facilities we are becoming used to and hardly anyone here! Tomorrow we will go in the caves....
